Drinking Water I

Drinking Water Test I

This is the most basic water test we offer. It detects E. Coli and Total Coliform bacteria, along with metals like Iron and Lead

The most common source of bacteria contamination comes from improperly designed, or overloaded waste water treatment systems. Sources also may include groundwater runoff containing sewage and/or animal waste, and surface water or floodwater cross contamination.

Lead contamination is most commonly found in homes built before 1986, when lead solder was used in plumbing construction. Lead particles can also attach themselves to galvanized pipes, which overtime will enter our drinking water. Along with this, heavy metals can also contaminate private wells through surface water seepage, or groundwater movement and runoff.

Here are a few signs your water may have metal contamination:

  • Water discoloration - yellow, reddish, brown, or black
  • Distinct bad odor
  • Metallic or bad taste
  • Red/Brown stains on your clothes
If your water is contaminated with this bacteria you may experience the following:
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Fever
  • Intestinal infections
  • Hepatitis
